We earnestly pray the evil ‘Jericho’ Walls over America, Israel, and over us will fall!!

Yes, there is craziness all around us … Praise YHVH we KNOW Who is our Rock! We also know in Whom we trust! Hallelu-YAH there is NO fear in Him!

What a huge blessing that the month of Elul began yesterday. The Hebrew month of Elul marks is 30 days before the fall Festivals.

Elul (אֱלוּל) is the month which leads up to the first fall festival, Yom Tru’ah (the Day pf Blowing). It is often said that Elul is an acronym, which when translated into English is “I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine,” from the Song of Songs 6:3 (in Hebrew: אֲנִי לְדֹודִי וְדֹודִי לִי). Elul traditionally is a month of Teshuva (תְּשׁוּבָה): a time of repenting and turning more fully to God … this 30-day period of preparation for the High Holy Days (which begin with Yom Tru’ah, which is also known as Rosh HaShanah, and Yom Kippur).

It’s amazing that the month of Elul “happens” to fall right now! These are days unlike any other we’ve experienced … each of us is going thru huge changes. Isn’t it wonderful to KNOW that none of this either caught YHVH off guard and as ICor 10:13 (ESV) states “No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation He will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.”

This time is like a spiritual bootcamp – a time for us to ready ourselves.

The month of Elul is often associated with the story of the prodigal son. Remember how the son repented & drew near to his father. Even as we are our Heavenly Father’s children, whom He loves very much, we all have areas in our lives that He wants to draw us into a more holy walk with Him.

When a special guest comes to our home, there is much anticipation and preparation. In the same way, our Heavenly Father wants us to prepare now for His appointed times with Him during His festivals.

I believe God is asking each of us to prepare for the upcoming Festivals by reflecting on things in our lives which He wants to change. The “co-incidence” (not!) of Elul’s occuring now; prayer & fasting are part of His greater plan for us as individuals and us as a nation!

Every year, we see amazing miracles from His hand during these days of Elul!! Let us again begin our annual Jericho March Fast.

What are we willing to give up? (Could be a no-pleasant bread fast or no TV or refraining from an unpleasing attitude. In past years, many of us have abstained from sugar and/or gluten, coffee, etc.)

What one abstains from is not important.

What is important is the denying of ourselves. Are we willing to give up something for your life to be changed, for direction, for our nation’s protection, for evil walls to be exposed and broken?

This Jericho March Fast is a great step. We are spiritually marching around those evil walls that are holding us & our country captive.

Let’s join together during these days and ask Him to begin with changing us and to change the dynamics and evil in our country.

I encourage you to jot down what you’re giving up and what you’re wanting to see God do. (If you want, tell me or text me what you’re giving up & for what you’re praying. And I’ll pray specifically for you.)

We believe we are going to see Him move and that the walls around America’s ‘Jericho’ are going to fall!!!

He promises:

  • “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them,” Matt 18:20 NIV
  • “If My people who are called by My name humble themselves, and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land,” 2 Chron 7:14 ESV
  • “Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son,” John 14:13 NASB

Prayer:2023 Elul wk 1 — Walls of Jericho Fast

“Hallelujah, precious Father, during this season of Shuva (repentance, turning more fully to you), help us to draw more closely to You. Help us to deny ourselves that we might more clearly see Your face. We bless You! Protect Israel, heal our land, bring peace to these lands. Raise up righteous leaders! Help us to be able/desire to turn from those things that so easily beset us. Bless each of those who chooses to join us in this period of denying ourselves. In the holy Name of our soon-coming King and Messiah Yeshua, we pray.”
