What should we do now???

What should we do now?

PRAY! … and keep on praying!

This last week has been a week without compare. To be perfectly frank, people are going nuts – worry, anger, hostilities are rampant. Actions are being rationalized because of fear and worry.

God’s Word is once again very timely. We are instructed that “worry” is actually “sin”! I can make such a bold statement, because Romans 14:23b informs us that it is sin to not live by faith. When we put our faith in God – our total faith in God – we cannot worry. Because worrying is not trusting in Him to work out every situation. On the other hand, when we worry, we are actually believing in our heart that God can’t or won’t solve our problems…. Is that what we’ve seen on the streets of America this last week? Or what we see in our own lives?

Every day, we are each inundated with concerns. It is “natural” to be like the wolf and gnaw on the issue.  (Did you know that the word “worry” comes from the Anglo-Saxon word meaning “to gnaw”, as a wolf gnaws.) Instead, gnawing on a grievance, let us turn our focus away from these assaults and turn: “Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding,” Prov 3:5. When we do that, HE will give us HIS PEACE. “For in Him we live, and move, and have our being;” Acts 17:28a.

Challenge: More than ever, we must pray for our countrymen, for our leaders, for Israel. Are we willing to pray and fast for the direction, wisdom, and guidance for our leaders – for our country? – for Israel?

PRAYER: “What an awesome God we serve; Lord, You are indeed awesome. Thank You that You know the end from the beginning. We can trust in You and in Your goodness, because You love us. And we love You. Bring order and calm to our nation. Give our leaders health, wisdom, and resolve to follow Your ways. Bring Your everlasting peace to Israel, In Yeshua’s Name, we pray.  Amen.”
