Week 3 of our Walls of Jericho Fast – may we not be deceived …

By Les’a Cole

“Fake news” … “believe the science” … what ARE we to believe???

Only YHVH’s Word is absolute truth – only in His Word can we trust.

The last few weeks, my heart has been troubled. An up & coming young politician has been getting much national media attention. Ramaswamy relates to the younger generation; he seems to say everything we conservatives believe in. But he serves a foreign god. We must be wary. His words do not mean what we assume they do. (For example, he states that there is one god. On the surface, that sounds very appealing to Christians, Jews, etc. However, Hinduism worships more than one god.)

We’ve already had one president who served a foreign god (Islam); do we want another … even if he’s a supposed to be a Republican??

I’ve been alarmed at how many believers … strong believers … have been caught up in this deception of believing what we’re being fed.

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Matt 24:24 KJV

Thank YHVH for bringing to light things that were initially hidden: his negative stance on Israel (YHVH’s chosen); his Soros family connection; and his business ties with the CCP (Chinese Communist Party).

Once again, the season of Elul (of teshuva & introspective examination of our own lives) comes at a critical time. This year, we are called to not only examine our own lives, but also the direction of our country. We are called to be watchmen on the wall. In times of war, a guard stands watch for approaching enemies. In Bible times, watchmen (guards) stood on walls or in watchtowers for an enemy. The watchmen would then blow their shofars/trumpets in warning.

“On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have set watchmen; all the day and all the night they shall never be silent. You who put the LORD in remembrance, take no rest.”  Isaiah 62:6 ESV

In addition to our personal requests during this season, may we each be a watchman, a beacon of warning, to our fellow countrymen.

… YES, we must not grow faint-hearted … Let  us remember what Daniel experienced when he prayed and fasted for 21 days. An angel came to him and said:

“Fear not, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand and humbled yourself before your God, your words have been heard, and I have come because of your words. The prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days, but Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me…” Daniel 10:12b-13a ESV

Like Daniel, let’s continue pressing in …

Prayer:

“Mighty God, Thank You for Your protection for each of these & for our country who’ve been in critical conditions. We ask that You heal each one totally … that YOU heal our land … that YOU give us god-fearing leaders!!! Also, please continue building our faith that we might serve You more effectively. Turn the hearts of Israelis and Americans to You. Bring Your peace to these two nations. In the most holy Name of our Messiah, b’shem Yeshua. Amen.”

IMMEDIATE Prayer Requests:

  1. USA: Wisdom that we might unite and raise us Godly leaders.
  2. Israel: peace and righteousness.
  3. Protection of the persecuted church.
