Come and worship The LORD during The Festival of Passover  with us March 29th, 2010 at 6pm
Casas Adobes Congregational Church

It is time to keep our yearly appointment with Messiah.    A believer does not keep the Festivals in order to be saved; rather it is because they are saved that God requires it.

Yeshua stated,
Do this in remembrance of Me. (Luke 22:19) This verb "do" in the Greek language is in present tense imperative form. It indicates a command of doing something in the future which involves continuous or repeated action. Doing or keeping Passover is not a suggestion nor was it optional.

Moses revealed God's priority on observing this eternal Festival when He said, You must keep this ordinance at the appointed time year after year. (Exodus 13:10)

Jesus said
: I have eagerly desired to eat  this Passover with you (Luke 22:15) and do this in remembrance of Me. (Luke 22:19)

Paul
is also in agreement:
For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. Therefore let us keep the Festival.... (1 Corinthians 5:7,8)

Jesus again: ... I will not eat it again until it (Passover) finds fulfillment in the kingdom of God. (Luke 22:16)

Jesus said He would not partake in another Passover meal until the establishment of the future Kingdom; at that time He will renew fellowship with those who have commemorated the LORD's Passover. It will be consummated in the great Messianic  Marriage Supper of the Lamb. In the words of the angel when he spoke to John ... Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb! (Revelation 19:9)

Every disciple of the Messiah should be humbled by God's invitation!

                The LORD's Passover

Celebrating Passover is making an open proclamation that we acknowledge God's Covenant of Redemption.

Every person in Covenant with the Almighty is to meet God at His appointed time. This is the LORD's Passover. We are each to
present ourselves on this day of the Almighty's eternal ordinance.

There are three crucial aspects of God's Passover Festival:

First, God said it is to be observed as an eternal ordinance.
Second, God said it is to be practiced annually.

Third, God said we are to examine ourselves!

Note
: to understand Communion is to acknowledge Passover. Why? Because Communion is a shortened form of
Passover.  Had there been no Passover, there would be no communion! Communion does not take the place of Passover.
